Four years ago Hacker was asked to shoot Cam Edwards and Joe Lenzie, a little known drum and bass duo called Sigma.

“We had a wicked time on that first shoot and the portraits we captured that day are still some of my favourite I’ve captured in the last 10 years.” explains Hacker. “It’s been great to follow the lads’ meteoric rise to chart topping fame and see the shots get used in places like the BBC Radio 1 website and iPlayer.”

A handful of number 1 hits later and ahead of their new album launch, Cam and Joe asked their management if Hacker could shoot the press images.

“I was chuffed to hear that the lads had requested to work with me again. It’s always nice to hear someone has a good experience with you – because I always want people to come away from shooting with me having had a good time.”

The brief was to photograph the duo against a simple backdrop but they didn’t want black and white images – and no glasses!

Initially the shoot was going to take place in Bristol but it was moved to London’s famous Loft Studios for logistical reasons.

Hacker told us: “When I heard the shoot was moving to Loft I can’t say I was too disappointed. To shoot where so many legendary photographers have worked was awesome.”

“Sadly though Joe didn’t bring along his flag to the shoot.” Hacker laughs. “I was looking forward to seeing his flag waving abilities in real life – but I still took the piss. I couldn’t let that one go could I?”
